GRAND ACTION 3-SENSOR PREMIUM WOODEN (G3PW) KEYBOARD

Wooden, three sensors, escapement structure, graded key weight distribution, white keys with ivory surface, black keys with matte surface, extended key length and pivot point

The Grand Action 3-Sensor Premium Wooden (G3PW), the latest wooden keyboard developed by Medeli, pays utmost attention to every detail to recreate the nuance of a grand piano. It offers the most advanced technologies of Medeli from material to construction, so that any level of user can enjoy an authentic, pure and rich playing experience of a grand piano.

Use of solid wood

The white keys of the G3PW keyboard are meticulously carved from carefully selected premium solid wood, realizing a solid and stable feel when playing. The G3PW offers the closest experience to an acoustic piano, both visually and physically at your fingertips.

Finely textured ivory surface

The G3PW's white keys are finished by Medeli’s special surfacing process that effectively produces an ivory texture. The G3PW's black keys have a matte finish. Not only does it help to minimize distractions caused by light reflection while playing, but also improves the ease of maintenance over time.

Long hammer lever to simulate a grand piano

The G3PW keyboard features an extended key-to-pivot distance which allows comfortable key-pressing at the root of white and black keys, letting the player to perform a wide range of advanced pieces.

88-key, graded weight distribution

The G3PW keyboard has graded weights across the keyboard, heavier in the bass and lighter in the treble zones, which replicates the varying amounts of weight across the keys on an acoustic piano. Similarly, the resistance of the G3PW keyboard is adjusted in accordance with the actual playing feel of a grand piano, so that the responses to your fingertips are comfortable and natural.

Escapement simulation

When slowly pressing down the keys of a grand piano, the key resistance would gradually increase then suddenly decrease due to a percussive structure called escapement. The G3PW keyboard has this escapement feature to replicate the nuance and detail of playing a grand piano, thus bringing a truly authentic experience.

Three-sensor detection system

The G3PW keyboard is equipped with a three-sensor detection system, so that the player does not have to wait for the key to fully return to the original position before pressing the key again, and the note can still be successfully triggered. This system is ideal for playing fast trills. Combined with the keyboard’s quick key return, G3PW lets the player perform expressively with every meticulous detail.
